Johanson Table
This table is a slight redesign of one made by my grandmother's father, the thing in her apartment most coveted by us all, in a place full of objects ripe for devotion. It has had varied uses over the years: as an extra seat at family parties, as a side table for her morning bath. Right now it lives in her bedroom and holds a sweater waiting to be put away, a book just finished. Nana's apartment is the place I feel most home in this world. I hope, in its presence, you will feel a moment of this.
